It all started with salad dressing.
Tired of messes and rusty lids, Karen was looking for a solution to shake, pour, and store homemade dressings directly from a Mason jar. When she couldn’t find one, she invented The Original reCAP. The Original reCAP Pour gave rise to a new company, where Karen and the team live and breathe all things Mason jars. Original Kickstarter campaign.

Our passion for a better world put the “re” in reCAP – Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle.
Inspired by a personal goal of zero-waste, Karen was passionate about bringing reCAP to life – in the hopes the cap would make Mason jars more useful and have a positive environmental impact. The best way to reduce waste is to not create it in the first place.

Raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, Karen’s vision for reCAP is to keep it local and strengthen her hometown community. Not just Made in the USA, reCAP’s entire supply chain is within a 100 mile radius.
